A Visit from Sandy -- she WAS NOT invited!

When I was just 13 days old, we stayed in a hotel because Hurricane Sandy was on her way. Our street always loses power, and mom and dad didn't want to take any chances. We were only without it for a day, but boy were we all glad to have secured a hotel room. Here are some shots from the stay. Nana and Papa weren't as lucky as we were - but in the grand scheme of things, everybody fared just fine.

It was just like home - the G's were right down the hall!

Telling Dad what I think of the accommodations...

"Trashing" a hotel room, baby-style...

Ahh... back home again

Visit from Grammie

When I was nine days old, Grammie came to visit me from Florida.  I'm her first grandchild and I think she's as special as she says I am!

Meeting Grammie for the first time

Grammie discovered how much I like playtime

Then she watched me nap on my giraffe

It looks like Grammie and I spent all weekend with the giraffe...
We only sorta-did!

Visit from Nana and Papa

When I was three weeks old, Nana and Papa came to visit me from Connecticut. We snuggled, ate, slept and loved... and everybody had a great time.

Loving on Nana

Wearing the baby ring that was Papa's, then Dad's and now mine.

They didn't make it past the kitchen - and hadn't even sat down yet!

Visit from Aunt Diane, Uncle Jeff and Cousin John

When I was 4 weeks old, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Diane and Cousin John came from Boston to visit me. We went to the park, made sauce, had a birthday dinner for Dad with the Platts and generally had a great time!

This is me all bundled up to go get them at the airport.

This is how I went to the park...

Cousin John played and played!

What a dresser ... I've got to up my game!

One Month Old!

November 16, 2012: My one-month pic with Great-Grandma Alagno's blanket! Mom's friend Kelley gave me stickers to put on my onesie each month. We'll take a picture in the same spot each month so everybody can see how I've grown!

The First Post

Davidson James Alagno is 5 weeks and 1 day old today! Dave and I have had to learn a lot these last several weeks, and the latest thing we're learning is how to blog. We created this site to update friends and family as to the latest news in our lives as it relates to this little man we love more than we ever imagined.  Communicating this way is more private than FaceBook (does my high school trig classmate need to know what's going on with us?), and it's easier than SnapFish - which is great for sharing pictures but bad for sharing information.

So, with that said... Here goes. We promise to post often. Right now, our EIGHT pound FIVE ounce little guy is looking forward to his first Thanksgiving... and to packing on some more weight before his next doctor's visit on December 19!
